AWAKEN 2025 is a two day worship gathering on Friday evening, October 3rd and Saturday, October 4th. This event is focused on youth and college age students who are passionate about Jesus and worshiping Him.
We find ourselves in a time and culture that is daily providing a variety of distractions designed to separate us not only from the love and devotion that should be reserved only for Jesus, the Master, but also to keep us from experiencing the greater love that He has for us. Charles Spurgeon said “Here our King forbids division of aim in life. We cannot have two master passions…God and the world will never agree, and however much we may attempt it, we shall never be able to serve both… During this weekend, God is inviting those willing to encounter His undying love and leave that encounter with the mark of an authentic disciple: an undivided and undistracted heart that loves the Master alone!

MEET OUR AWAKEN SPEAKERS
Sean Swihart has been the Lead Pastor of Crossroads Church in Lincoln, NE since 2012. After serving as a youth pastor in the Chicago area for nearly six years, Sean and his wife Beth moved back to pastor Crossroads and raise their four daughters in their hometown of Lincoln. When not serving in the church, they love being active outdoors, hanging out with friends and spending time watching their girls participate in a variety of sports and activities. Sean has a passion to see all believers walk in the fullness of all that God has for them and to see the next generation step into their God given callings!
Scott Squires was born and raised in Pittsburg, KS where he built a life with his wife of 23 years (Gabrielle) and his 5 children. Scott holds a degree in Biblical Studies from Heartland Christian College, a BS in History from Pittsburg State University, and a MA in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from the University of Birmingham (UK). He taught philosophy for 7 years as a member of the faculty at Pittsburg State University and served as a member of the eldership team of Covenant Harvest Church. He recently moved to Kirksville, MO and is now a member of the faculty of HCC. He is recognized as a prophetic voice in the C2C and Salt & Light families of churches, and has a deep desire to see this generation have an authentic encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. AWAKEN features corporate worship and preaching, activities focused on the weekend theme and times of fellowship. While the event is geared toward young people, all ages are welcome to join us for Friday’s evening session at 6:30 pm and Saturday’s afternoon session at 2:15 pm.
